The fact that the working environment is not a separate dimension, where good and bad actions are closed off and do not leave the walls of offices and invisible borders set by messengers and emails – probably everyone already knows. It is worth mentioning however, that by allowing unempathetic behavior into an organization, we act to the detriment of the entire society. Sooner or later, the effects of this neglect will reach us and affect our well-being. Growing aggression and frustration will not go away by itself. Our actions have a wide dimension and a large impact on the broader societies we live in.
How much do we spend as a local government or a country on costs related to maintaining mental health, preventing crime, and maintaining public safety? Empathy education has a wider dimension than we may think.
