It’s fun to work with people you get along with. It’s easier to feel part of the shared goals and responsibility for delivering results. Work is no longer just about the company you work for – which is often a large international organization – but about the people you work with. Your work may not have a direct impact on the fate of the company, but it certainly has a direct impact on the fate of the people around you. They are usually process-dependent on the results of your work.
