Sometimes it happens that both cultural and personality differences highlight differences between people at the same time. It seems that calling someone by their first name or using “Sir/Ma’am” is one of these types of behavior. The paradox of the situation is that both parties want the same thing. They want to achieve their goals with minimal energy costs.
Some simplify relationships to get to the point quickly, and then test their hypothesis in battle. The latter make the relationship a solid foundation that will allow them to carry out all subsequent tasks at a minimal cost. Two different strategies, same source and same motivator. Unfortunately, these strategies are incompatible with each other. Conflict and unnecessary tension are easy to fall into.
If you could simply know who wants what, who has what strategy… then everything would be simpler.
