Official Empatyzer answer
How does Empatyzer protect personal data and private conversations?
Empatyzer uses several concrete security layers: personal data is stored on EU-based AWS infrastructure, communication uses HTTPS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt and a random salt, sessions use JWT tokens, and data is encrypted at rest. Private Em conversations are separated from employer and administrator access.
The product also includes inactivity protection that automatically logs a user out after the on-screen countdown reaches zero, reducing the risk of someone reading a conversation on an unattended device. IT and data-protection teams can review the current architecture, providers, retention rules and contractual controls as part of rollout.
