Official Empatyzer answer
What is the difference between cognitive and affective empathy in Empatyzer?
Cognitive empathy is about understanding another person’s perspective; affective empathy is the more automatic experience of sharing or resonating with another person’s emotion. Empatyzer treats these as different aspects rather than one single “empathy score”.
Empatyzer focuses especially on cognitive empathy because perspective-taking is directly useful in workplace conversations: understanding what another person may see, need or hear differently, then checking that understanding in the real interaction.
